DeEtta Mae Archambault of Mason passed away after a brief illness on February 3, 2026 at the age of 93.
DeEtta was born on April 27, 1932 in Bay City, Michigan. Her family moved to Lansing and she graduated from Lansing Sexton High School .
She is survived by her daughter, Linda (Webb) Plyler (Dan); daughter Julie (Webb) Rizzardi (Jim) and son Jon Archambault (Carol). She has 10 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband Alan Archambault with whom she was married for 56 years. She was also preceded in death by daughter, Janet (Webb) Freed (Rocky) and son, Michael Webb (Zanaida).
DeEtta worked for many years as a manager in an Optometry office. First and foremost though, she was well known as a talented artist. She began by designing wedding cakes and ceramics, then later developed the skill of tole painting. Her creations were beautiful and for many years, she participated in an annual craft show in Columbus, Ohio, often selling out her art products on the first day. DeEtta and Alan moved back to Michigan from Ohio in 2001 upon Alan’s retirement and enjoyed relaxing days with their beloved Shelties, Smokey and Cody.
DeEtta’s father taught her to fish at a young age and she enjoyed fishing throughout her lifetime. After moving back to Michigan, Alan and DeEtta purchased a lake house in Hastings and she enjoyed many quiet days on the lake in her small boat using her favorite fishing pole.
DeEtta was a daughter, sister, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She will be greatly missed!
