Denise D. Rawson

Denise D. Rawson (née Lapointe), born on March 13, 1941, in Rhode Island, passed away peacefully on January 26, 2026, in Vernon, Connecticut. She was a lifelong resident of the Crystal Lake section of Ellington. She was 84 years old.

Denise was a devoted wife, mother, sister, aunt, grandmother, and great-grandmother whose life was marked by deep love for her family and enduring strength through the years. She shared many cherished years with her beloved husband, George K. Rawson, who predeceased her. Together they built a life rooted in care and commitment.

She is lovingly remembered by her sons: Bob Rawson and Diane Bligh, of Vernon and John Rawson and his wife Michele of Ellington. Denise's legacy continues through her four grandchildren John Rawson Jr., Alyssa and Nick Delmastro, Sean Rawson and Heaven Liberty, Lauren Rawson and Steven Noska, and six great-grandchildren, her brother Warren Lapointe and niece Karen Paul each of whom brought immense joy to her life.

Denise also carried the memory of those who went before her, including her granddaughter Alisa Allard, as well as many siblings and dear friends whose lives were intertwined with hers over the decades.

A memorial service will be held on February 22, 2026 at the Rockville Elks Lodge # 1359 at 9 North Park Street Vernon Connecticut from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m.
