Passed away peacefully on November 23rd. 2025 at the age of 67 surrounded by family. She leaves a son Brian Brennan, brother Philip Levasseur, nephews Robert Levasseur and Bradley Deschanes, as well as several cousins. Her senior chocolate lab Anastasia "Anna" was happily reunited with her previous owner who will give her a loving home going forward.
Originally From Central Massachusetts, she spent her time living in Massachusetts, Maine, Florida and Georgia. Never too far away from the Atlantic Ocean. She was someone that loved the beach more than any other place. For her, there was nothing better than a warm beach day with a soft breeze and glass of Pinot Grigio to feel connected, grounded and happy.
Denise held a Masters Degree in Human Services and spent many years working for the Social Security Administration. Her background in psychology and sociology help to provide guidance and counseling to both the elderly as well as people in need.
Denise cared deeply for people, and always felt good about trying to improve others lives. She had a big heart and would give her time and resources for others. In doing so she felt useful and it gave her live purpose. She was alway's happiest knowing that you were doing better or making improvements in your life. She felt good when others were too. She enjoyed laughing and making the most of everything that came her way. She didn't dwell on the negative, but always tried to find the positive out of any situation.
She enjoyed gardening when the weather and her limitations allowed. In fact she began to study weather and climate, as well as shifting planting zones and timetables based on recent climate data. Her dream in the last year was to start a larger vegetable garden on her property as well as a micro-greens section in order to participate in local farmer markets. This would allow for her to be more actively involved with the general public, and she loved meeting new people and making friends.
Her hobby was a deep love of real estate. She enjoyed every aspect of researching property, location details and datasets. For her, predicting future trends and finding value investing opportunities were what she loved the most. She had a deep understanding of what was involved with all aspects of remodeling and renovation having been raised by a father with a wide experience in general contracting, plumbing and carpentry. She always had a plan for the next place she would move or home to purchase right up to the present.
A mother, a friend, a confidant, advocate and beautiful human being. Her Catholic faith gave her strength and a moral compass that always guided her life and her journey.
For all those that loved and cared for Denise, there will forever be a deep hole in our heart. We will miss her laughter, love, advice and friendship.
In accordance with her wishes, she will be cremated and remains located in Maine.
