Dennis Harvey Chinloy received the gift of life on November 27, 1953, and the gift of eternal life on February 8, 2026 at the age of 72. He was born in Kingston, Jamaica where he spent his childhood amongst a close-knit community of family and friends. At the age of 18, he moved to Texas. He joined a church in Dallas where he met the love of his life Ann Marley. The two wed in 1990 and were blessed with two treasured daughters, Kristen and Kelly. Dennis was a family man, and his favorite memories include time spent on vacation with his three girls.

Dennis is survived by his loving wife, Ann Chinloy; daughters and sons-in-law, Kristen and Colin Chisholm, Kelly and David Stranahan; grandson, Everett Chisholm; mother, Pearl Chin Loy; and sisters, Karen (Bassem) Abou-Zeid, Wendy (Chris) Kuhn, and Joanne (Nick) Fiore. He was also blessed to have had a special relationship with Ann's sister, Jill and her husband Richard Robin, whom he considered his own sister and brother. He leaves behind many nieces and nephews across the country whom he loved dearly. Dennis was preceded in death by his father, George Chin Loy; brother, Bobby Chin Loy; and parents-in-law, Everett and Carolyn Marley.

Dennis earned his B.S. in electrical engineering from LeTourneau University and received his B.A. from the University of Texas at Austin in computer science. He went on to work at Lonestar Gas and finished his career at Companion Data Services. In retirement, Dennis volunteered with the Project Independence program at the Wellness Center for Older Adults, providing transportation to senior community members in need. He was a long-time active member of Chase Oaks Church in Plano where he and Ann have led their beloved LifeGroup for the past 18 years. Dennis was a man of great faith and his relationship with Jesus was the most important thing in his life, which was reflected in his servant heart.

Known for his warm, goofy, and thoughtful personality, Dennis leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories among his family and friends. He was a devoted fan of the Texas Rangers and found immense joy in traveling and spending quality time with his family. He derived great enjoyment from sharing these and all other experiences with his loved ones.

A service to celebrate Dennis' life will be held on Saturday, February 14, 2026 at 2 P.M. at Allen Family Funeral Options 2112 West Spring Creek Pkwy, Plano. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made to The Local Good Collective of Chase Oaks Church, a cause dear to Dennis' heart.

Dennis will forever be remembered by all who knew him as a beacon of joy, kindness, and gentleness. His legacy will continue to inspire those he has left behind.
