Dennis Dudgeon Sr., 82, of Valley City, passed away peacefully on March 29th, 2026, surrounded by his loving family.
He was a devoted husband, a proud father, a cherished grandfather, and a beloved great-grandfather. Family was the center of his life, and he took great pride in the generations he helped build. His love, guidance, and steady presence will be deeply missed but forever remembered.
Dennis shared a beautiful life with his wife, Darlene (nee Wass), for 62 years, and together they created a home filled with love, laughter, and lasting memories. As a father, he was a source of strength and wisdom, always ready with advice, support, and a helping hand. His grandchildren and great-grandchildren brought him immeasurable joy, and he treasured every moment spent with them.
He will be remembered for his kindness, strong work ethic as a mechanic, generosity, and for the way he made everyone feel welcomed and valued. Whether through quiet acts of care or shared stories and laughter, he left a lasting impression on all who knew him.
He is survived by his loving wife, Darlene; his children, Dennis Jr. (Angie) and Doreen; his grandchildren, Dennis Ray, Melody, Matthew, and Kaitlyn; and his great-grandchildren, Wynter, Ceci, Gunner, and Magnolya. Sister Deanna (Mike) Kekic, and brother Duane (Dawn) Dudgeon.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Margaret, father, Dean, his brother Butch, and his sister Janice.
There will be a private burial for family and friends at a later date.
Though he is no longer with us, his legacy lives on in the love he gave and the family he cherished.
