Dolly Bernice (Everett) White, age 94, passed away peacefully on December 16, 2025, in Newtown, Connecticut. Born on August 27, 1931, in Orem, Utah, she lived a long and vibrant life marked by love, resilience, and a generous spirit.
Dolly graduated from UCLA, laying the foundation for a diverse and impactful career. She worked as both in real estate and as a teacher, roles through which she touched many lives with her intelligence, warmth and humor. Her legacy also lives on in an unexpected but beloved way—she was the inspiration behind Dolly's Donuts in Arroyo Grande, CA, a tribute that reflects the sweetness and joy she brought to those around her.
Throughout her life, Dolly embraced community and camaraderie. She was an avid golfer who found joy on the green and friendship among fellow players. She was also a proud member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles (F.O.E.) in Santa Maria, California, as well as an active member of the Newtown Senior Center—organizations that reflected her fun-loving nature and commitment to fellowship.
Her faith was an enduring part of her life. As a devoted member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Dolly found strength and purpose in her beliefs.
Dolly's family was the heart of her world. She is lovingly remembered by her daughter Wendy Smith; son-in-law Brad Smith; brother Larry Everett; grandchildren Angey, Zoe', Sammy, Bradyn, Caleb, Tanner, Sarah, and Heidi; and great-grandchildren Ben and Roman. She now joins in rest her beloved parents Tay and Billie Everett; brother Paul Everett; and son Gary Guynn.
Those who knew Dolly will remember her as generous, loving, kind-hearted, glamorous, and funny—a woman whose presence lit up every room she entered. Her family extends heartfelt gratitude to RVNA Hospice and the many dear friends who offered care and companionship during Dolly's final days.
May her memory bring comfort to all who knew and loved her.
