Dolores "Snooky" "Dee" Nedved (née Suchomel), a cherished mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on March 15, 2026, in Fort Wayne, Indiana. She was 95 years old.

Born on November 14, 1930, in Berwyn, Illinois, Dolores embraced life with enthusiasm and a generous spirit. She dedicated 15 years of her career as a Staff Administrator at John Hancock Insurance, where her diligence and professionalism left a lasting impact on her colleagues and the organization.

Dolores was predeceased by her beloved husband, Joseph Nedved; her son, Joey; her brother, George Suchomel; and her parents, George Suchomel Sr. and Antoinette (Svoboda). She is survived by her children Tom (Carla) Nedved and Cathy Severson; her grandchildren Anita, Joseph (Hollie), Amy Nedved (Craig), Kenneth Severson, Brenda Martinez (Sebastian), and Rachel Weiss (Ryan); and her great-grandchildren Ava, Noah, Liam, Emma, Giana, Leo, and Grace. Dolores's family brought immense joy to her life and were always at the heart of her world.

Dolores found happiness in many pursuits throughout her life. She loved reading captivating stories that transported her to new worlds, traveling to explore diverse cultures and experiences, cooking delicious meals to share with loved ones, and spending quality time with friends and family. Her warmth and zest for life were evident to all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Faith was a cornerstone of Dolores’s life. She was an active member of St. James of the Sag Church in Lemont, Illinois. Her dedication to her faith community reflected her kind heart and unwavering belief in helping others. Additionally, she was a proud member of the American Legion Auxiliary at the Stickney Post. Her commitment to supporting veterans and their families demonstrated her deep gratitude for those who served their country.

In honor of Dolores’s legacy of love and service, the family kindly requests that donations be made to your local American Legion in lieu of flowers.

Dolores will be remembered for the love she shared with those around her and the countless memories she created with family and friends. May her memory bring comfort to all who knew her.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 9th from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Zarzycki's Manor Chapels, 8999 S. Archer Ave., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial on Friday, April 10th at the same location.
