Dominic Allen Linch, age 67, passed away earlier this year after a long battle with illness. Born in Spearfish, South Dakota, to Sharon (Wattier) Canaday and Dee Von Linch, Dominic was the eldest of four siblings—Michael, Devonna, Martin Leon, and Dennie.

A self-proclaimed "Lone Wolf," Dominic lived life on his own terms. Reclusive at times, stubborn by nature, and highly intelligent, he approached the world with a sharp mind and an unwavering determination. Those who truly knew him understood that beneath his tough exterior was a deeply caring man who showed love not always through words, but through actions.

Dominic dedicated himself to his craft and possessed a master's touch with any tool he picked up. His hands could fix nearly anything, and his precision behind the wheel was second to none. He often joked that he had more miles on him than a '58 Buick—a fitting comparison for a man who spent much of his life driving, repairing, restoring, and dreaming about vehicles of every kind. Whether for work or simple pleasure, the road was where he felt most at home.

In keeping with his fiercely independent spirit, no traditional services will be held. Instead, this summer, his sons will honor him in a way that would have meant the most—by carrying him on a memorial road trip to visit family and friends, concluding at the family homestead near Devil's Tower, where his ashes will be spread among the wide-open skies.

Dominic is survived as a son, brother, father, uncle, grandfather, cousin and friend by many. He leaves behind a legacy of resilience, craftsmanship, independence, and quiet devotion that will not be forgotten.
