Dominic F. Vitale

Dominic F. Vitale, 96, of Des Plaines, IL, passed away on March 27, 2026. A Chicago native, Dominic was preceded in death by his wife of almost 50 years, Annemarie (nee Federer) and his parents, Leonardo and Anna (nee Giannola) Vitale. He was the youngest of seven siblings, James, Anthony, Leonard, Ida (Molinare), Joseph, and his twin Francesco, who all preceded him in death. He was the fond uncle of many nieces and nephews.

Dominic was a decorated Korean War veteran of the U.S. Army and worked in the beer industry in Chicago for nearly 34 years before retiring. Dominic always had a friendly smile, a firm handshake, and with Annemarie, hosted numerous, fun-filled gatherings for friends and family at their Des Plaines home. Dominic enjoyed many visits with Annemarie to her native Germany, and was a life-long Blackhawks and Cubs fan.

Dominic was laid to rest at All Saints Cemetery in Des Plaines on April 17, 2026.
