DONALD was born on August 16, 1949 in Tampa, Florida. He owned and operated a family run group home that served his wife's beloved family members, affected by a genetic disorder known as Fragile X Syndrome. He, alongside his wife, loved and cared for his beloved Mark and other mentally challenged loved ones in this home for 32 years...providing love and affection, guidance, day to day care, training and moral support. Don was a kind man with a superhuman capacity to love and help the helpless...he innately knew what he did for the least of God's people, he did for God. This was the work and shared passion with his beloved wife Kitty of 43 years that was the most important to him. Don adored his two children Timothy and Veronica, Grandchildren, Jordan and Olivia. He was proud of them. He was a successful entrepreneur, owning and operating various businesses in Tampa over the years. i.e. a Mobile Oil franchise. Don's Mobile on 56th Street in Temple Terrace; Don's Solar in THONOTOSASSA; Jaggers Old West Club in Gatlinburg Tennessee; Don's Suncoast Meats in Ybor City, and many other successful business ventures. He was a hometown boy who loved Tampa, grew up in Ybor City, and at the age of five, worked shining shoes at the Columbia Restaurant to earn money to help feed his mother and other 5 siblings. This was the catalyst that led him to learn how to profit. He worked all his life to help and serve others. Don was a survivor. He was burned over 75% of his body in a private plane crash in the early 80's. He survived that and went on to live his life unaffected by the trauma and physical scars. He was a family man who sacrificed all for his family, a strong man bigger than life who was feared by all who might harm him and loved by all who "knew" him.
