Don Stine

Donald (Don) Lee Stine, age 84, passed away peacefully on March 16, 2026, in Richardson, Texas.
Don was the devoted husband of LaVohn Stine, with whom he shared a life filled with love, adventure, and laughter. He was a loving father to Monica Smith and Todd Stine, and a proud grandfather to Andrew and James, who all brought him immense joy.
A quintessential handyman, Don had a remarkable ability to fix anything around the house. He also enjoyed working on older cars, taking pride in both the challenge and craftsmanship. His curiosity and skill were matched by a deep love of the outdoors and adventure. Don enjoyed sailing, snow skiing, and car camping with his wonderful wife, LaVohn, creating memories that will be treasured forever.
Fortunate to travel the world, Don embraced new experiences with enthusiasm and awe. Wherever he went, he brought humor and warmth, often brightening a room with a well-timed joke. One of his most endearing talents was his napkin portraits-quickly crafted drawings made with pride and delight. He was always amazed at how much joy these simple creations brought to those who received them.
Don will be remembered for his kindness, his creativity, his humor, and the love he had for his family and friends. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
A Celebration of Life will be held at the Spring Park Racquet Club, 3300 Spring Park Way, Garland 75044 on May 16, 2026 from 12-4pm.
