Donald Ray Caskey, known to many as Don, passed away peacefully on Monday, December 15, 2025, at his home in Punta Gorda, Florida, after a brief illness. He was surrounded by the love of his family during his final moments.
Born in Rowan County, Kentucky, Don was the youngest of two sons. Throughout high school, Don excelled in multiple sports, including football, baseball, basketball, and track, earning the respect and admiration of both teammates and opponents alike.
After graduating, Don joined the Plumbers and Pipefitters Local 162, where he would dedicate more than 40 years of service to the trade, becoming a respected member of the union community. His work ethic, integrity, and commitment to his craft were second to none, and he leaves behind a legacy of hard work and dedication.
Don was predeceased by his parents, Kelsie and Gertrude Stanley, and his brother, James Caskey. He is survived by his three daughters: Stephanie Clark of Las Vegas, Nevada, Natalie Haas of Walnut Creek, California, and Julie (Joe) Keller of Cincinnati, Ohio. He also leaves behind six grandchildren and one great grandchild.
