Donald Edward Davis of Robinson, Texas, passed away on Friday, November 28, 2025 at Baylor Scott & White Medical Center in Temple, Texas.
Donald was born on July 10, 1930, just outside of Augusta, Georgia, to Charlie Edward Davis and Dorothy Dean (Lovett) Davis. He was the oldest of six children, and is survived by his beloved sister, Coral Lee (Davis) Morris, of Augusta, Georgia. He was preceded in death by his parents; his sisters, Nell Youngblood, Shelva Brown, Geraldine Connell, and his brother, Will Davis.
Donald served in the United States Air Force during the Korean War, wherein he suffered from severe frost bite to his feet during the Winter of 1950. Donald was a local business man who owned and operated Davis Discount Meats. He loved to fish and often took his fishing boat out on the Brazos River or fished in local lakes and ponds.
Donald is survived by his seven children, Donald, Charles, Michael, Randy, Jeff, Rhonda, and Julie, and his adopted son, Kevin, as well as a large number of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
In accordance with his wishes, cremation has taken place. His ashes will be scattered at his favorite fishing spot in a private family gathering here in Texas.
