Donald “Donny” Ray Davis

Donald Ray Davis, age 74, of Waterford, Michigan, passed away January 28 2026, in Zephyrhills, Florida. Don was born on March 18, 1952, in Pontiac, Michigan to Louise and James Davis.

Don loved anything with an engine! Cars - like his beloved GTO in his younger days to his little yellow convertible he drove into retirement. The many motorcycles like the Harley Street-glide or the Big Dogg during his mid-life crisis. The dune buggies for the sand dunes to the golf cart he enjoyed in Florida. He spent a lot of time in the garage wrenching, and a lot of garage time with his buddies.

Don is survived by his spouse Cindy Davis, his daughter Meghan Davis and sister Deborah Hackman (Dan Hackman) as well as many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his daughter Jennifer Dudek and his sister Cheryl, who always called Don “her angel brother.”

The family wishes to extend their gratitude to his neighbors in Florida for keeping an eye on him while he was there. A memorial celebration of life will be held in the end of June.
