In Loving Memory of Donald “Don” Glass
Donald "Don" Glass, age 75, of Auburndale, was born November 27, 1950 in Winter Haven, Florida, and passed away on March 17, 2026. Don lived a life filled with love, faith, and dedication to God and family.
A proud graduate of Auburndale High School’s class of 1968, Don went on to build a successful career as a cabinet maker. His skill and artistry were evident in the cabinets he designed and built for homes and businesses throughout his career. His work was not just a profession but a reflection of his meticulous nature and creative spirit.
Don was married to his beloved wife Marilyn Glass at the time of his passing. Together, they enjoyed attending church, camping trips, fishing, and visiting family. He especially enjoyed tinkering in his workshop- a place where his creativity flourished. He was previously married to his high school sweetheart, Katherine Glass for 48 years until her passing. Together with Kathy, and their precious daughter, Stephanie, Don shared many cherished memories, including their love for sailing aboard their sailboat "Jalee.”
Don’s faith in God was central to his life. A devoted member of Gateway Assembly of God in Auburndale, he worshipped with all his heart and deeply valued the fellowship of his church family. His love for the Lord was evident in every aspect of his life.
He is survived by his wife Marilyn; daughter Stephanie Glass; brothers Dwayne Glass (Mary) and Del Glass (Karen); sister Denise Jackson (Tommy); precious grandchildren Abby, Ben and Zach; bonus children Jason Crane (Debra) and Amie Hammock (Forrest); Bonus grands Brittany, Dustin, Levi, Aubry, Roxanne, Justin, and Jennifer; bonus great-grandchildren Bradley, Mia, Lily, Shelby, Amya, Maddie, Jackson, and Veda; as well as many dear friends and family members.
Don was predeceased by his first wife Katherine Glass; his mother Fannie Mae Glass; and his father John D. Glass.
Don’s legacy is one of love for family and friends, devotion to faith, and a passion for craftsmanship. May his memory bring comfort to all who knew him.
