Donald Alexander Kilgore Jr, 68, of Copperas Cove, Texas, went to be in the presence of God. He passed away on November 19, 2025. Born October 26,1957 in Tokyo, Japan, Donald lived a life marked by service, dedication, and a deep love for family and friends.
He grew up in the Killeen area and graduated from Killeen High School in 1976. In 1977, Donald proudly enlisted in the United States Army, serving honorably until 1980. His military service helped shape the dependable, determined, and hardworking man so many came to rely on.
Following his time in the Army, Donald began a diverse and accomplished career. He worked as a land surveyor for Harmon & Associates before spending many years with several automotive parts and paint companies throughout the Killeen area. His natural mechanical skill and willingness to help others made him a valued colleague and friend wherever he worked.
Donald had a lifelong passion for cars and motorcycles. Whether he was rebuilding an engine, tuning a bike, or lending a hand to someone in need, he found joy and purpose in working with his hands. The garage was one of his happiest places, and he shared his knowledge generously with those around him.
Donald was preceded in death by his father, Donald Kilgore Sr., and his beloved wife, Markaleta. He is survived by his mother, Sonoko Kilgore; his brothers David (Kim) Kilgore and Daniel Kilgore; his stepchildren; and his grandchildren, nephews and nieces as well as friends who brought him great pride and joy.
He will be remembered for his quiet strength, generous heart, and the lasting impression he made on everyone who knew him. His legacy lives on in the lives he touched and the memories he leaves behind.
