Donald Earl Lessard

Donald “Don” Earl Lessard, 85, of Manchester, passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, February 3, 2026. He was the beloved husband of Elaine (Caron) Lessard.

He was born on March 13, 1940, in Goffstown, NH, and was the son of the late Thomas and Anna (Veilleux) Lessard.

Don served in the United States Airforce from 1957 to 1961 and was later employed at Pratt and Whitney Aircraft in Middletown, retiring after over 30 years of service from the Experimental Division. Don had many hobbies and interests. He was an avid bowler for most of his life enjoying both mixed leagues and senior leagues where he built many friendships throughout the years. He also loved playing cribbage, going fishing, and watching sports especially the UConn Women basketball team.

Don was a character and made friends wherever he went. He spread kindness in small ways and always carried candy in one pocket, ready to offer a little sweetness to someone and dog treats in the other for all his canine friends. He loved people, animals, life and his family, who he treasured most. His heart was full when family was all together.

In addition to his wife of 63 years, he is survived by his children, Paul Lessard of North Carolina, Suzanne and Cameron Walden of Willington, Colette Lessard of Manchester and Renee and William Holota of Bolton. He also leaves behind his five grandchildren, Michelle, Blake, Brad, Brooke and Bryce and his two great grandchildren, Skylar and Ryder.

Calling hours will be held on Friday, February 20, 2026, from 1:00 pm-3:00 pm at the Carmon Funeral Home, 807 Bloomfield Ave., Windsor, with a service beginning at 2:00 pm for those who wish to attend.
