Donald Mckee "Mick" Pike Jr., age 81, passed away on October 11, 2024, in Orem, Utah.
Born on December 27, 1942, in Omak, Washington, Don lived a life marked by service, devotion, and quiet strength. He was a proud graduate of Brigham Young University and went on to dedicate his professional life to public service through his work with the Social Security System until his retirement.
Don served honorably in the United States Army for four years, demonstrating a deep commitment to his country. His sense of duty extended beyond military service into every aspect of his life.
A devoted member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Don's faith was central to who he was. He found joy and purpose in his spiritual community and remained steadfast in his beliefs throughout his life.
Photography was one of Don's great passions. Through the lens of his camera, he captured the beauty of the world around him and preserved moments that reflected both nature's splendor and everyday grace.
Don is survived by his brothers Mark and Steve Pike and his sister Marlynn Kay Regnier. He was preceded in death by his parents Donald McKee Pike Sr. and Eula (Betty) Ives Pike and his sister Mary Kathleen Pike (twin of Marlynn).
Funeral services were held at 10:00 a.m. on October 21, 2024, at the Sharon Park 6th Ward Chapel in East Orem, Utah. He was laid to rest beside his parents at Fir Lane Memorial Park Cemetery in Spanaway, Washington.
