Donald grew up in Falls Church, Virginia, and went to George Mason Junior/Senior High School, where he was well known for his creativity and artistic ability and stylish personality.
He later attended Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, Virginia, and Pierce College in Woodland Hills, California, where he studied art and art history.
He'll be remembered for his generosity of spirit and quick wit as well as his positive outlook, always finding the good in others.
Donald was a voracious reader, especially of history, and spent his last years working as a reader for Barnes and Noble, where his intelligence was greatly admired and appreciated.
He was also an artist extraordinaire and a fine woodworker. A lover of architecture, he traveled extensively through Europe and the US.
He was polite and loving and kind and a loyal and fast friend to all who knew him.
Donald is survived by his mother, Jackie Harding Wilson, The mother of his children Joanne Adams Stroud, a daughter Zoe Adams Stroud, and a son Evan Adams Stroud, his brother Bill Stroud and Bill's wife Suellen, and a sister Carolyn Stroud Misch.
He was preceded in death by his sister Debbie Stroud and his father Donald Condé Stroud.
