Dongjae Lee, 32, passed away on January 5, 2026, in Monticello, Georgia. Born on December 13, 1993, in Seoul, South Korea, Dongjae brought light and warmth into the lives of those around him from an early age.
A proud graduate of the University of Georgia, Dongjae pursued music with dedication and enthusiasm playing trumpet. His time at the university was marked not only by artistic achievement but also by the meaningful connections he formed with classmates and mentors alike.
Following his graduation, Dongjae honorably served in the United States Marine Corps while stationed in MCAS Iwakuni. His commitment to service reflected his deep sense of duty and strength of character. Through his military service, he demonstrated courage and resilience that left a lasting impression on those who served alongside him.
Dongjae's life was full of kindness, energy, and a joyful spirit. He had a remarkable ability to connect deeply with others, leaving behind memories filled with laughter and love. Whether through friendship or shared experiences, he touched many lives in ways that will not be forgotten.
He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
