Donna Mae Ewing (née Jackson), age 77, passed away peacefully on January 31, 2026, in Sarasota, Florida. Born on May 31, 1948, in Troy, NY, Donna lived a remarkable life filled with diverse accomplishments and cherished relationships.

Donna graduated from Mechanicville High School and pursued higher education at Albany Medical College, where she studied medical administration. Her professional career flourished as she served as the office manager for Dr. Joel Koransky's dermatology practice in Saratoga Springs, New York. Donna's dedication and expertise left a lasting impression on her colleagues and patients alike.

In her early years, Donna achieved notable success as a New York State Pageant winner and a fashion model in New York. She also showcased her talent as a baton twirler and a drum corps majorette in the Capital Region. Her passion for baton twirling led to her induction into the Baton Twirling Hall of Fame alongside her daughter Lynann—a testament to their shared love for this art form.

Donna was an avid golfer who found joy on the greens of Shaker Ridge Country Club in Albany, New York; Rolling Green and The Preserve in Sarasota, Florida; and Pike Lake in Ontario, Canada. Her enthusiasm for golf brought her lasting friendships and countless cherished memories and a couple of holes in one.

Donna's warmth and vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. She will be fondly remembered by friends and neighbors from Mechanicville, New York; the Winds of St. Armands in Sarasota; and Pike Lake Resort in Ontario, Canada.

She is survived by her loving husband, Colin Ewing of Sarasota, Florida; her devoted daughter, Lynann Hayner (Brian) of Glens Falls, New York; and her brother Ronald Jackson (Anna) of Sarasota, Florida. Donna was predeceased by her parents John and Delores Jackson; her brother Gordon Jackson; and her first husband Angelo Esposito.

Interment services will take place later this spring in Mechanicville, New York. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society in Donna's memory.

Donna Mae Ewing will be deeply missed by all who knew her. May her memory bring comfort to those whose lives she touched so profoundly.
