Dorine Drummond

Dorine Drummond, 78, of Manchester, CT, passed away on February 16, 2026 at home.
Born on June 26, 1947 in Brooklyn, NY, Dorine was the beloved daughter of Ochie Mae Elmore and Harvey Miller.

She graduated from Erasmus Hall High School in 1964, and went on earn Bachelors and Masters degrees in special education from Brooklyn College and Baruch College respectively. After college she worked as a special education teacher. Throughout her career she worked in various roles with individuals with special needs. Dorine was known for her strong work ethic, patience, and compassion for those in her care.

On June 26, 1971, she married Keith L Drummond, and together they ultimately settled in Manchester and raised a family.

For many decades Dorine was an active member of the congregation of Jehovah Witnesses in Manchester. Dorine was an avid reader who found great joy in sharing her faith with others; as well as traveling, gardening, and spending time with her family. She will be remembered for her kindness and strength, and for the way she made others feel loved and supported.

She is survived by her son, Trevor C Drummond; grandson, Killian C Drummond; siblings, Alice Miller, Robert Miller, Verna Miller and David Miller; and her stepchildren, Patricia, Audrey, Michael, and Paula.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Keith L Drummond; mother, Ochie Mae Miller; and father, Harvey Miller.

A memorial service will be held on March 14th at 3:00 p.m. at the South Windsor Kingdom Hall, 640 Burnham Street, South Windsor, CT.

Dorine’s legacy of faith, friendship, dedication, and service will live on in all who knew and loved her.
