Doris Delores Owens (née Cabble), 79, passed away peacefully on March 10, 2026, at 7:01 p.m. in Fairfield, Ohio. Born on February 15, 1947, in Oil City, Pennsylvania, Doris was the beloved daughter of the late Willie Pearl Cabble and Clinton Clifford Cabble.

Doris graduated from Titusville High School and later pursued higher education in Cincinnati, Ohio. Her professional life was marked by dedication and adaptability. She spent over two decades as an administrative assistant before transitioning into a career as a medical transcriptionist, where her meticulous attention to detail and commitment to excellence shone through.

A woman of deep faith, Doris grew up Baptist and remained devoted to her church throughout her life. Her spirituality was a cornerstone of her character and guided her in her interactions with others. Known for her kindness and generosity, she found joy in helping others through donations and acts of service.

Doris had a creative spirit and a love for crafting. She enjoyed crocheting, sewing, and quilting—skills that brought beauty and warmth to those around her. Music was another source of joy for Doris, providing comfort and inspiration throughout her life.

Family was at the heart of Doris's world. She is survived by her sons Curtis Owens and Damon Owens; her brother Clifford Cabble Jr.; and her grandson Davon X. Brown. She was predeceased by her cherished daughter Dierdre Lee Owens; siblings Willie Pearl Hightower, Gloria Hightower, Clyde Hightower, Monica Cabble, Reuben Cabble, and Jimmy Cabble; as well as her parents.

Doris's passing leaves a profound void in the lives of those who knew and loved her. Her warmth, compassion, and unwavering love for family will be remembered always. Though deeply missed by all who survive her—family members and friends alike—they take solace in knowing she is now at peace.
