Dorothy devoted three decades of her professional life to Ford Motor Company, where she worked from 1978 until her retirement in 2008. Her commitment and reliability earned the respect of colleagues and friends alike. She was known for being someone you could always count on—a loyal friend who offered support and kindness whenever it was needed.
In her retirement years, Dorothy found joy in visiting the casino and playing keno—a pastime that brought her both excitement and remarkable luck. With a winning streak that seemed nearly unbeatable, she often joked that luck was always on her side. These moments of fun reflected her lighthearted spirit and zest for life.
Dorothy was deeply loved by those closest to her. She is survived by her devoted husband, Russel Darnell; her son, Timothy Chadwick; two sisters, Elaine Basham and Ann Eddington; and grandchildren Elijah, Drew, and Parker, who brought joy to her later years. Her presence will be profoundly missed by all who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Michael and Elizabeth Herron; as well as two brothers, Michael C. Herron and Patrick Herron.
Dorothy has now received her wings to embark on life's next journey. Her memory will live on in the hearts of those who cherished her—forever missed and lovingly remembered.
