Dorothy Eleanor Garris

Dorothy Eleanor Garris, 86, of Kansas City, passed away on February 19, 2026, surrounded by her family. Dorothy was born September 22, 1939, in Clinton, ME to Leonice and Carroll Dodge. She worked for 36 years as the office manager at Parker McCrory Manufacturing Company. She was an animal lover and avid shopper. She was preceded in death by both parents and former husband, Ronald Garris, Sr. She is survived by her sister, Carol Gadd (Randy); children, Laurie Glover (Scott), Ronna Frazier, Scott Dorler (Debbie), Ronald Garris, Jr. (Lisa); grandchildren, Jordan Newman (Corey), Ashley Tucker (Josh), Sabrina Vano, Justin Dorler (Jaela), Jason Dorler (Jordan), Zoe Garris, Abigail Garris, Brooke Mortensen (Mike), Lindsey Stokes (Jared); and loving nieces, Mellisa and Amanda Gadd. In addition to her grandchildren, she leaves behind eleven cherished great-grandchildren: Amelia and Maisie Tucker; Mark and Luke Newman; Sebastian Dorler; Issac, Ainsley and Gwen Mortensen; and Kerrigan, Tucker, Chloe and Truman Stokes. In lieu of flowers, Dorothy requested contributions to St. Jude Children's Hospital and/or Wayside Waifs in her memory.
