Dorothy Mae Myers (nee Whitfield), age 95, of Macedonia, Ohio, passed away on April 15, 2026. She was the beloved wife of the late Paul Edward Myers Sr., with whom she shared 60 years of devoted marriage. Dorothy was the cherished mother of Deborah Daniels (Edwin, deceased), Margaret Hardaway (John, deceased), Richard, David (Pat), Barbara Neal (Steven), Paul Jr. (Elaine), Jeffery (Rose), and Patricia Houlehan (Michael); the adoring grandmother of 21, loving great-grandmother of 18, and fond ex-mother-in-law of Lorea. She is also survived by her dear brother Robert Whitfield. Dorothy was preceded in death by her two sons, Jerry and Kenneth, and her three brothers, Lawrence, Luther, and Wilbur. She was the beloved daughter of the late Luther and Leola Whitfield.

Dorothy was deeply devoted to her faith and her family. She was always there—no matter the time or place—offering support and making sure everyone around her was cared for. A gifted cook and gracious hostess, she loved bringing family and friends together around her table. She embraced every culture she met with an open heart and an adventurous palate. It wasn’t unusual to walk into her kitchen and find yourself sampling flavors from around the globe, as if her stovetop was a passport to the world. A talented artist, she enjoyed sketching cartoons, family, and animals. Beyond her art, she was an avid listener of gospel and country music, and enjoyed perusing estate sales and shopping during the holiday season. For more than 20-years, Dorothy brought her passion for cleanliness to her role as a housekeeping supervisor, leading a team at Health Hill Hospital for Children and ensuring the facility consistently met the highest standards of cleanliness, safety, and quality. She carried that same dedication into her work at Regina High School and Hathaway Brown School.

Dorothy will be remembered for her kindness, her quiet strength, her generous spirit, and her lasting appreciation for everyone around her.

In lieu of flowers, the family invites memorial donations in Dorothy's memory to the American Heart Association or the Alzheimer’s Association.
