Duane Edward Andrews passed away on November 17, 2025, in Childress, Texas, after a long and courageous battle with cancer. He was 64 years old.
Born on October 21, 1961, in Grand Rapids, Minnesota, Duane spent his early years in the Midwest before moving to Toledo, Washington, where he spent much of his youth. Over the course of his life, he lived in several states including California and Minnesota before ultimately settling in Texas.
Duane's journey through life was marked by resilience and a quiet strength that carried him through both joyful and challenging times. He faced his illness with remarkable fortitude and dignity.
He is lovingly remembered by his wife, Kim Andrews; his son, Nathaniel Cheney; his stepson, John Andrews; and his stepdaughter, Carrie Travis. He also leaves behind his mother-in-law, Leona Trahanes; siblings Shari Andrews, Tony Andrews, Sharon Hiatt, Florine Bentley, and Ernest Andrews; as well as numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
Duane was preceded in death by his father Elden Andrews; mother JoAnn Andrews; and brothers Bob Andrews and Allen Andrews.
A man of unique interests and passions, Duane found joy in watching Star Trek and cheering on NASCAR races. These hobbies brought him comfort and entertainment throughout his life.
