Chaplain (Lt. Col. Ret) Duane R. Seaborn finished his earthly life and rose to glory on October 21, 2025 at Georgia War Veterans Nursing Home (GWVNH) in August, GA
He was born in Boston, MA on October 31, 1933. Following his service in the Navy, he graduated from Gordon Divinity School with double master's degrees. He joined the Army and retired as a chaplain in 1982. He was loved, respected, and led many souls to the Lord. He founded the alcohol and addictions program at Ft. Gordon, Georgia.
He was a 6-year resident at GWVNH and was lovingly known as "Grandpa" and the "Jesus Man" because he shared his faith prayers and scriptures until the end of his life. He was a great man of faith and inspiration to many.
He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. He is survived by his wife Patricia of 44 years, his children Andrew Seaborn (Laura), Angela Griner and Julie Griner, 9 grandchildren, and 9 great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his son Peter Seaborn Sr. and grandson Peter Seaborn Jr.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to GWVNH, FVW, or Saint Andrews Presbyterian Church (SAPC) for their continued service to veterans.

A memorial celebration of this great life will be at a later date with full military honors.
