Eddie Lee Bunch (Ed), 76, of Bonita Springs, FL died on January 12, 2026, at Joanne’s House at Hope Hospice in Bonita Springs, FL.

Born October 6, 1949, at home in Tennessee, he was the son of the late Dilmer and Oma Bunch. Eddie is preceded in death by his parents, Donald Bunch (brother), Richard and Rosalie Drollinger (father- and mother-in-law), Patty Hendrix (sister-in-law), Larry Hendrix (brother-in-law), and Tommy Drollinger (brother-in-law)

Eddie graduated from Lafayette Jefferson High School in 1969 where he played basketball all four years. He was a starter on the #1 ranked Broncho basketball team led by Coach Joe Heath, and his friends would say it was better to have Eddie on your team than to play against him. Being a true athlete, Eddie also played all four years on the baseball team coached by Spider Fields.

Eddie retired in 2016 from Subaru of Indiana Automotive (SIA) after 27 years of service, helping to open the plant in the fall of 1989. He and his wife Rebecca enjoyed spending their winters in Bonita Springs, FL so much that they decided to make it their full-time home in 2022. Eddie enjoyed spending time with his wife, kids, and grandchildren. He had a passion for horse racing and loved going to the dog track with his friend and brother-in-law, Wayne Turner.

Eddie is survived by his wife of nearly 30 years, Rebecca Bunch of Bonita Springs, FL; a daughter, Jill Pinkerton (Jake) of Lafayette, IN; two sons, Joshua Brady (Megan) of Wesley Chapel, FL, and Matthew Brady of Battle Ground, IN; five grandchildren, Adam Dimmitt of Moab, UT, Lauren Dimmitt (Isaac) of Lafayette, IN, Brock Dimmitt of Lafayette, IN, Anne Pinkerton of Lafayette, IN, and Baylor Brady of Battle Ground, IN; a great granddaughter, Nova Fields of Lafayette, IN; sisters, Norma Milligan (Larry) of Carmel, IN and Betty Milligan (Jay) of Lafayette, IN; and three nieces, Monica Richards (Grant) of Carmel, IN; Chelle Smitson (Mike) of Zionsville, IN; Shawna Miller (John) of Lafayette, IN.
