In memory of Edgar Tatum, Jr.

It is with overwhelming sadness and heartbreak of the family to announce that Edgar Tatum, Jr. , born November 1951 in Savannah, Ga. passed on August 3, 2025, 4:24 p.m. at NYC Harlem Hospital in New York, New York after suffering from severe pneumonia while hospitalized in Harlem Center for Nursing and Rehab, N.Y., N.Y. Edgar was loved so much by his family and he was also an avid music lover to include Jimmie Hendrix, Beatles , Sly and the Family Stone and other soul rock and role artists. Edgar loved working with electronics and setting up audio systems for church, family and friends. He was somewhat shy but one of his two sisters would lovingly get him to dance with her to show him how to have some fun. He is preceded in death by his parents, Edgar Sr. and Freddie Ruth, siblings Sandra, and Frederick. He leaves behind a sister brother, cousins, nieces and nephews who will miss him dearly. Due to intricate matters, no family funeral services will be provided but family ask that you remember Edgar as a kind human being who was loved until his death.
