Edmond Matton Jr.

Edmond Joseph Matton Jr., lovingly known as "Eddie," passed away on January 18, 2026, in Beverly, Massachusetts, at the age of 79. Born on February 15, 1946, in Beverly, Eddie spent his life deeply connected to the community where he was born and raised.

A proud graduate of Beverly High School's Class of 1964, Eddie went on to earn a Bachelor's degree in Human Services from New Hampshire College. His dedication to service extended beyond academics; in 1967, he answered the call to serve his country as a member of the National Guard.

Eddie was a passionate car enthusiast who found joy in tinkering with and restoring sports cars. Over the years, he owned many cherished vehicles that reflected his love for craftsmanship and precision. This hobby brought him immense satisfaction and became a defining part of his life.

Above all else, Eddies greatest pride and joy were his children and grandchildren. He loved them deeply and would do anything for their happiness and well-being. In his later years, Eddie found comfort in the companionship of his beloved cats—Lily, Shemp, and Chloe who brought him peace during challenging times. Among his family, his grandson Elliot held an especially dear place in Eddie's heart. Elliot's presence brought light and joy to Eddie during periods of illness and hardship.

Eddie lived life to its fullest, embracing every moment with enthusiasm and love for those around him. His memory will forever be cherished by those who knew him.
