Edward Keliikoa Puulei, 91, of Valley Springs, California, passed away peacefully on December 17, 2025, in Lodi, California. Born on January 12, 1934, in Honolulu, Hawaii, Edward carried his island roots with him throughout his life.
Edward proudly served 20 years in the United States Marine Corps, a chapter of his life that shaped his strength, discipline, and deep love for his country. After his service, he found joy in exploring America, traveling across the United States and capturing memories through photographs of the many places he visited. He loved quiet days fishing at the lake, cheering on his favorite sports teams, and, most of all, being surrounded by family.
Known for his great sense of humor, Edward could always bring laughter into a room. He was warm, kind, and deeply devoted to his loved ones. Time spent with family meant everything to him, and those moments will be cherished forever.
Edward is survived by his daughter, Caroline Vivien Puulei; his stepdaughter, Vivian Moore; his granddaughters, Alanna Yoshioka, Bernadette Moore, Jennifer Moore, and Chris Hembree; and his niece Jay Dee Masters. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Mardena Puulei; his father, Edward Lono Puulei; and his mother, Mary Keliikoa Puulei.
Edward will be remembered for his service, his laughter, his adventurous spirit, and the love he shared so freely with his family. His memory will live on in the stories told, the photographs he took, and the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
