Eileen E. (McDonald) Teixeira, age 73, of Rockland, died peacefully, Friday, January 30, 2026 at the Pat Roche Hospice Home in Hingham, surrounded by her loving family.
Eileen was born in Quincy, to the late Sheila J. (O'Mahoney) McDonald and George B. McDonald, former Norfolk County Commissioner. She was raised and educated in Quincy and graduated from Quincy High School, Class of 1972. She lived in Rockland for four years, previously in Scituate for forty years.
Eileen was a homemaker who was devoted to her family, especially her grandchildren.
She was an avid reader and enjoyed painting, in particular sea and floral scenes.
Beloved wife for forty-one years of Anthony A. "Tony" Teixeira.
Devoted mother of Michael G. Cronin and his wife Joette of North Attleborough, Keith P. Cronin and his wife Jen of Martha's Vineyard, and Kurt C. Teixeira of Rockland.
Loving grandmother of Keira and Bridget; Eliza, Abby, and Josie.
Dear sister of the late Colleen A. Haley and her surviving husband Tim of Quincy, and the late Erin P. McDonald.
Dear sister-in-law of Charles Teixeira and his wife Laura, Margaret Teixeira, Kathleen Teixeira, Lawrence Teixeira and his wife Harriett, Rosanne Breen and her husband Bill, and the late Stephen Teixeira.
Eileen is also survived by several nieces, nephews, their families, and friends.
