Elaine Cresey

Elaine Cresey (Hampstead) passed away on January 16, 2026 in Windham, Maine after a brief illness. She was born on September 15, 1945 in Boston, MA. She was a graduate of Everett High School. She was predeceased by her parents Ellen and George Hampstead and her friend Michael Iacoviello. She is survived by her sister, Ellen DeAngelis of Lexington, MA, her daughters April O'Shea of Windham, ME and Christine Cresey of Ipswich, MA and her grandchildren Ashley, Mark, Elizabeth, Ben and Ewan. Elaine worked for Melrose-Wakefield Hospital for 30 years in the switchboard department.

Elaine was a lifelong lover of figure skating and delighted in sharing the sport with students of all ages. She taught for many years in the greater Boston area at rinks in Lynn and Revere (Skater's World and Cronin). In the 2000's she taught in Stoneham with the Bay State Skating School. She moved to Maine after retiring and loved watching her grandson. Her family is very grateful to Ledgewood Manor for their compassionate care during her stay.
