It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Elaine Ercolano of Woodcliff Lake, New Jersey, who left us on December 5, 2025. Born on July 5, 1938, in New York, New York, Elaine was a beloved mother, grandmother, partner, and passionate advocate for positive change in her community.

Elaine's educational journey was one of ambition and dedication. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Ramapo College in New Jersey, followed by a Master's Degree in Human Resource Management and Organizational Development from The New School for Social Research in New York City. With over thirty years of experience in management and organizational development, Elaine made significant contributions to the business world, most notably as Vice President at Liz Claiborne, Inc. She played a key role in the company's transformative change management initiatives. Prior to this, she was the Director of Executive Assessment and Development at Ingersoll-Rand, where her leadership in executive programs took her around the world.

Elaine's career was marked not only by her professional success but also by her enduring passion for politics and community service. A committed public servant, she served as a councilwoman on the Woodcliff Lake Town Council. In retirement, Elaine continued to give back by helping seniors with their medical insurance, demonstrating her unwavering dedication to improving lives. Elaine also went on countless protest marches and sent out thousands of 'Get Out The Vote' letters.

A devoted family woman, Elaine treasured spending summers on Eastern Long Island with her loved ones. She is survived by her longtime partner, Hugh Jones, her four children: Andrea Chambers and her husband Lowell of Fairfax, VA, Michael Ercolano and his wife Karen of East Aurora, NY, Robert Ercolano and his wife Donna of Woodcliff Lake, NJ, and Christina Ercolano and her husband Paul Creedon of Ridgewood, NJ, and stepdaughter Nina Marino and her husband Mark of Ridgewood, NJ.
