Elaine Dorothy Price

Elaine Dorothy Price, aged 90, passed away surrounded by family on March 19, 2026, in Pinckney, MI. Born on September 25, 1935, Elaine's life was marked by her quick wit, outgoing personality, and profound dedication to her family. She often expressed that her life felt complete after marrying her beloved husband, Thomas Price, and together raising a family that was the center of her world.
Throughout her life, Elaine lived in various locations including Lorain, Vermilion, and Amherst in Ohio; Dearborn Heights in Michigan; and Plattsburgh in New York. She embraced these communities, engaging in part-time catering work and volunteering for church and community services, reflecting her commitment to giving back to others. Elaine was a devout member of several Catholic Churches, including St. Mary's in Vermilion, OH and St. Linus in Dearborn Heights, MI and St. Peter in Lorain, OH.
Elaine's joys included spending time with her family, watching TV game shows, playing bingo, visiting casinos, and traveling. These activities were a significant part of her leisure time and brought her great happiness.
She is survived by her children, Thomas (Diane) Price, Denise (Michael) Hensley, John (Karen) Price, and Nancy Cragg; grandchildren Jennifer (Stephan) Layport, Heather (Derek) Cox, Thomas (Ivy) Price, Aubrie (Michael) Bonomo, Alivia (Kevin) Fouchey, Rozlyn Price, Jacob Price, Keegan Cragg, and Kenzie Cragg; and great-grandchildren Hunter, Dominic, Dylan, Delaney, MaeLyn, EvaLyn, and HarLyn. Elaine also leaves behind her brother, Ronald Mroski. She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Price; her parents, Stanley and Anna Mroski; and her sisters, Virginia and Geraldine (Gerry.)
A private gathering will be held at a future date. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, honoring Elaine's spirit of generosity and community involvement. Elaine's legacy of love, laughter, and service will continue to inspire all who knew her.
