Elaine M. Tomasic, 91 years of age and resident of Albrightsville, PA, passed away peacefully at home on December 15, 2025.
Elaine enjoyed several career paths upon graduating from Catasauqua High School throughout her life, especially working at Hilbert's Pharmacy in Whitehall, PA for many years.
Elaine and Andy celebrated 55 years together before his passing. Elaine was a loving mom to more than her own children and affectionately known as Baba to most and Aunt Elaine to countless more. Elaine's compassion, ability to listen, generosity and loving nature were just a few of Elaine's qualities. Elaine was an avid reader (anything and everything), a great seamstress (from Barbie Doll clothing to adult wedding gowns) and a superb "chef" (from Sunday dinners to cooking feasts for small or large weddings!) In later years, Elaine enjoyed any casino, the shore, sitting in the sunshine surrounded by flowers and wildlife, but she loved nothing more than her family and she was thoroughly loved by them.
Elaine was predeceased by her father, William Horlacher, mother Elnora (Ross) Horlacher, brother William Horlacher, sister Betty (Horlacher) Gintz, husband Andrew J. Tomasic, Sr., and son Andrew John Tomasic, Jr. Elaine leaves behind her loving family that includes her granddaughter Tara (Tomasic) Issermoyer, wife of Brian, great grandchildren Braydan and Emma of Walnutport, PA; daughter Lori Ann (Tomasic) Sveda of Albrightsville, PA; granddaughter Devon (Wagner) Pickering, wife of William and great grandchildren Logan, Dante and Sofia, Bethlehem, PA and many nieces and nephews
We will celebrate Elaine when the flowers are in bloom and the sun is shining. Family and friends will be notified at that time.
