Eleanor L Russell

Eleanor "Ellie" Russell, née Norman, age 75, of Garrettsville, OH, passed away on March 22, 2026.

Ellie was born on January 26, 1951, in Uniontown, PA, to the late Charles Norman and Norma Buttrick, née Milligan. She was a graduate of South High School in Cleveland and attended Cuyahoga Community College. She worked in customer service at Garrettsville IGA.

Ellie had a deep love for animals, particularly German Shepherds, which she raised and bred with great care. She also enjoyed the quiet pleasure of bird watching.

She is survived by her loving sons, Samuel K. (Jessica) and Michael F. (Lorena); grandchildren Tyler (Savannah), Austin, Isabelle, and Dylan; sister Bonnie Norman; brother Donald Provance Jr.; sister Donna Williams (Johnny); and fond aunt of Katie, Norma, Bonnie, Jessie, and Donald III.

There will be no showing. A celebration of life will be announced at a later date, likely the first week of August. Per her wishes, she will be cremated, and her remains will be buried at Park Cemetery in Garrettsville.
