Eleanor Brighton Wolfe passed away peacefully on Friday, January 19, 2024, just two months after the passing of her beloved husband of the last ten years, Ed Wolfe. Their close departure from this life reflects the deep love and companionship they shared.
Eleanor lived a rich and fulfilling life. She was first and foremost a devoted wife and mother of four, and later followed her passion for helping others by becoming a Marriage and Family Therapist. She was especially proud of returning to college in her forties, continuing her education with determination until she earned her PhD from Arizona State University.
Eleanor found joy in life's simple and creative pursuits. She loved gardening, writing, traveling, sewing, and painting. Her warmth, wisdom, and creativity touched the lives of her family and her many friends, all of whom will miss her dearly.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Allan Brighton, who passed away on February 27, 2012, and by her husband, Ed Wolfe.
She is survived by her sister, Agnes Thomas; her four children, Margaret (Peggy) Brady, Kathy Tinsley, Allan C. Brighton, and Amy Lee; and her brother, Charles Edward Hoffman, who passed away later on August 14, 2024. She is also survived by her twelve grandchildren: Blake, Ryan, Grant, Kevin, Katie, Nikki, Vanessa, Nicole, Laura, Kristin, Shannon, and Daniel, who brought her great joy and were a cherished part of her life.
Eleanor was honored, along with her late husband, Ed Wolfe, at a beautiful memorial service on Saturday, January 27, 2024, attended by friends and family at the Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University Lower Hangar, 3700 Willow Creek Road, Prescott, Arizona. Her family is deeply grateful for the love and support of all who knew her and shared in celebrating her life.
