Elizabeth "Eli" Anne McKay
September 15, 1979 - September 21, 2025
Elizabeth Anne McKay "Eli," 46, of Lowell, MA, passed away on September 21, 2025. Born September 15, 1979, in Lewiston, Maine. Note: as an authentic Mainer, she considered herself to be from Winthrop, Maine.
She was beloved and is survived by her parents, George L McKay and Jo Anne (Raynes) McKay; her brothers and their families: Aaron, Mimi, Lily and Jude McKay; Thomas, Christina, and Cindy Anne McKay; and Robert, Esther, Emmeline, Dorothy Anne (predeceased), and Maria McKay.
Eli was caring and fiercely protective of her little brothers. She was unconditionally loyal, to God, family, and country. She tirelessly crafted illustration artwork, short stories, DND campaigns, and character sketches. If you ever conversed with her, she would certainly have let you know about any number of her projects in process. If you ever received something she made with her hands, you rated highly.
She possessed a rare dignity of attitude. She demanded correctness. And if she felt comfortable enough to correct you, that was one of her many ways of saying she loved you.
She insisted on life, regardless of the prognoses of doctors. She approached her final year the same way she did every year of her life.
We will miss you, you feisty beam of light, who deserved so much more than this world gave you.
Funeral and memorial service Will be held at Calvary Chapel in Chelmsford MA from 1:00 to 2:00
