Elizabeth Adams Briggs, 44, of Los Angeles, CA passed away on December 7, 2025 from stage IV colon cancer, surrounded by her loving family. In addition to being a cherished wife, mother, and friend, Elizabeth was a New York Times and Top 5 Amazon bestselling author.
Born on July 23rd in Los Angeles, CA, Elizabeth was an avid reader from a young age and always dreamed of being an author herself. She graduated from UCLA with a degree in sociology in the early 2000s and went on to a successful career as an author of young adult, paranormal, and fantasy romance novels. Her books have been translated into multiple languages and have tens of thousands of five-star reviews. The generosity with which Elizabeth shared her knowledge continued throughout her writing career, as she mentored at-risk teens in her community and countless new writers through a variety of writing mentorship programs. Additionally, Elizabeth was a dog lover and rescue advocate, volunteering with various Bichon rescue organizations.
Elizabeth was married to Gary Briggs, and they had one daughter, Erin. As a family they enjoyed attending San Diego Comic-Con, visiting Disney parks and resorts, and traveling.
Elizabeth is survived by her husband, Gary; her daughter, Erin; her mother, Gaylene; her father, Peter; her half brothers, Jack and Charlie; as well as her pack of fluffy white dogs, her cat, her friends, and her fans all over the world.
