Elizabeth A. Fisher, 61, passed away in November 2025, in St. Petersburg, FL. Born in February 1964, Beth, as she was affectionately known, brought immense joy and creativity into the lives of those around her.
Beth graduated from Fairport High School and later from the Rochester Institute of Technology (twice), where she cultivated her passion for the arts. She had a fulfilling career with notable tenures at Case-Hoyt, Canadaigua Wine, and Peko Precision Products.
A true artist at heart, Beth was continuously engaged in painting, tie-dying, and creating unique jewelry. Her love for the arts was paralleled by her love for travel both local and international, often visiting museums and going tent camping every summer. Known for her strong yet quiet demeanor, Beth carried a spark of mischief in her eyes, endearing her to many.
Beth was a pillar of support for her family and friends, always ready to lend a hand. She is survived by her husband, James Stewart; sisters, Mary Ann (John) Erickson and Jane (Mervyn) Fisher; aunt and uncle, Ruth (Michael) Dineen; aunt and uncle, Andrew (Jan) Boumil; uncle, John Boumil; uncle, Warren Austin; nieces and nephew, Jane, Kate, Mary, Helen, and Will; and many beloved cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents, Elizabeth and John Fisher; aunt and uncle, Elizabeth and Ted Downey; and aunt, Mary Josephine Austin.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, April 11, 2026, at the Artisanworks in Rochester, NY, in the Elizabeth Regional Gallery. The service will start at 1:00 p.m. with a calling hour, followed by speakers at 2:00 p.m. at 565 Blossom Rd., Rochester, NY 14610.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the
American Cancer Society in Beth's memory. Her legacy of kindness, creativity, and adventurous spirit will be cherished and remembered by all who knew her.
