Elizabeth M Huntoon

Elizabeth Mildred Huntoon (née Gibb), 95, passed away on April 2, 2026, in Warren, Michigan. She was born on December 22, 1930. During the Great Depression, she and her family moved to a farm outside Windsor, Ontario. She often shared vivid stories of her childhood there, including walking two miles to and from school each day with her older brother, William. Those early experiences, as well as living through the World War II era, shaped a steady resilience that carried her throughout her life.

In 1954, she married Albert John Huntoon, with whom she built a life centered on family. In her 30s, she discovered a natural talent for oil painting and went on to sell many of her landscapes and still lifes. She was a kind, giving, and devoted wife and mother who dedicated her life to the care and happiness of her family. She was also generous in helping people in her life who faced challenges and setbacks.

She is survived by her loving husband of 72 years, her five children, seven grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren. The family appreciates your thoughts during this difficult time.
