Elizabeth (Lisa) Mihalisin Edwards, 61, passed away peacefully in her home in Coral Gables, Florida on Thursday, December 18, 2025.
Lisa was born on September 30, 1964, to Anne Mihalisin and Ted Mihalisin in Rochester New York. Lisa completed her bachelor’s in arts in English at Temple University with honors. Lisa then attended the University of Maryland School of Law and earned her Juris Doctor (JD) in contract law with honors.
After graduation with a Juris Doctor (JD) in contract law, she built a prestigious career as a contract attorney. She also pursued a passion of equestrianism, spending her time horseback riding and caring for her beloved horses. Lisa also adored her pet Papillion dogs and three cats.
Lisa was predeceased by her father, Ted Mihalisin. Lisa is survived by her partner Ronald Simmers Jr, stepmother Rhea Mihalisin, mother Anne Mihalisin, brother Jed Mihalisin, sister Julie Mihalisin, brother-in-law Phillip Walling, nephew Jesse Walling, and multiple cousins.
A private funeral service will be held for family.
