Elizabeth Ann Nelson

Elizabeth Richardson Nelson, 91, went home to be with the Lord on September 13, 2025. She was born on October 15, 1933 in Pearson, Florida.
She is survived by four children: Billy Nelson (Anna), Joni Thomas, Randall Nelson (Crystal), David Nelson (Paige), 14 grandchildren and a number of great grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother Carl Richardson.
She was preceded in death by her parents, William Oliver and Linnie Lee Richardson, her husband, Lonnie Lee Nelson Sr. a son, Lonnie Lee Nelson Jr., brothers, Ralph, Clyde, Kenneth, and Curtis Richardson as well as half-siblings Kirby Jordan and Marguerite Lucas.
She had a life long love for reading and early American Indian artifacts.
There will be a celebration of life service on Saturday, October 11, 2025, at the Batesville Methodist Church at 11:00AM. The church is located on Woody Johnson Road in Batesville, Alabama.
To honor Elizabeth, donations may be made to the Batesville Methodist Church or to the Florida United Methodist Children's Home also known as Residing Hope.
