Elizabeth Lynne Rodgers (Weathers)
June 26, 1944 - March 26, 2026
Elizabeth Lynne Rodgers, a woman of sharp wit, big heart, and deep conviction, passed away in Hillsboro, Oregon, on March 26, 2026. She was 81 years old.
A Life of Movement:
Born in Panama City, Panama, to James H. Weathers and Frances Wallace while her father was stationed there with the U.S. Army, Elizabeth was the eldest of three daughters. She was also a twin, though her fraternal brother passed away at only six weeks old. Her life's journey took her from the East Coast in New Jersey to the hills of San Francisco, and eventually to Oregon. Once she arrived in the Pacific Northwest, she continued her adventurous streak, living in various communities across the state before finally settling in Hillsboro.
Her Spirit and Passions:
Elizabeth was a woman who always had a project in the works and a heart open to others. She was a spirited voice for the causes she believed in and never shied away from a lively discussion. She was truly at her best when others needed help, acting as a steady and supportive force—especially for her four sons.
She lived for the holidays, with Thanksgiving and Christmas being the highlights of her year. An incredible cook, she was legendary for her stuffing and gravy, and she loved nothing more than celebrating the season with a bourbon and eggnog, finished with a dusting of nutmeg. She was at her happiest when her home was full of family, friends, and the company of her beloved dog, Jamie.
Family
Elizabeth's legacy lives on through the family she loved so dearly. She is survived by:
- Her Sons: James Graham, David Graham, Lee Lawson, and Kenneth Lawson.
- Her Grandchildren: She leaves behind eight cherished grandchildren.
- Her Sisters: Frances Walls and Anne Espinosa.
- Her former husband: Clyde Rodgers.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, Robert Graham and Larry Lawson.
A Final Journey
In honor of her life, Elizabeth's sons will gather in August 2026 to scatter her ashes in the mountains of Northern California. It is a fitting final tribute, returning her to the quiet beauty of the peaks she loved.
