Elizabeth Squires

Elizabeth Ruth (Tanner) Squires, 93, of Maine, passed away surrounded by family on October 31, 20025. She was born on May 2, 1932, to Clifton Tanner and Ruth "Bambie" Tanner. Elizabeth grew up on a dairy farm in Maine alongside her beloved older sister, Doris Mae.

Elizabeth was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother whose greatest joy was her family. She and her husband, Leo Charles Squires, shared 42 wonderful years together. Leo cared for her faithfully, and together they shared a deep love for their many cats.

Elizabeth was a loving mother to five children: Dave, Rick, Barry, Dale, and Ann. She cherished family gatherings, especially during the holidays, and her warmth and kindness touched everyone who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Cliff and "Bambie" Tanner her sister, Doris Mae; her son, Barry Harwell; and her grandson, Sean Harwell.

Elizabeth is survived by her devoted husband, Leo Squires; her sons, Dave, Rick, and Dale; her daughter, Ann; and her grandchildren Paula, Jennifer, Gordon, Preston, Andrew, Hailey, Stewart, Wesley, and Lauren. She also leaves behind several great-grandchildren who will carry on her legacy of love and faith.

Elizabeth had a beautiful relationship with the Lord, and her strong faith guided her throughout her life. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her
