Ella Lucille "Lucy" Winterfeld (Schlameus), 69, passed away peacefully on March 29, 2026, in Webster,
Texas. Born January 22, 1957, in Alexandria, Louisiana, Lucy lived a life marked by love, faith, curiosity,
and adventure.

Lucy graduated from Conroe High School in 1975 and soon enlisted in the United States Navy. She
served four years, earning the rank of Yeoman Petty Officer Third Class before her honorable discharge.
Years later she rejoined the Naval Reserves, receiving commendations for her initiative and organization
along with marksman awards. Her time in the Navy shaped her disciplined outlook on life and sparked a
lifelong love of travel and exploration.

She treasured life near the water, time spent by the beach, and the beauty of creation—especially
birdwatching, rock collecting, and tumbling stones. A talented musician, she played the flute for many
years and later began learning piano. She also enjoyed sewing, sketching, crafting, and exploring
creative pursuits that reflected her vibrant spirit.

Lucy's love of learning remained a constant throughout her life. She attended Old Dominion University
in Norfolk, Virginia, and later pursued graduate and theology courses through Mid-America Christian
University. Her inquisitive spirit and enthusiasm for knowledge were evident to all who knew her.

After moving to Houston, Lucy began her career with a small office supply company before transitioning
to an administrative role at a medical clinic. Following her marriage, she settled in Webster and later
served for a decade as a municipal court clerk in Dickinson, Texas, where she was known for her warmth
and sincerity.

Faith was the cornerstone of Lucy's life. From a young age, she was captivated by the story of Jesus and
devoted herself to sharing His message of hope with others—especially children. Her creativity and joy
shone brightly as she taught Scripture and encouraged young hearts. Lucy loved worshiping with her
church family and engaging deeply with God's Word. Her relationship with God was deeply personal;
she spoke with Him as one would a dear friend.

Lucy was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She is survived by her loving husband, Tom;
son Christopher Bick; step-son Jordan Winterfeld; step-daughter Lauren Little; daughters-in-law Brigitte
Bick and Chelsea Winterfeld; sons-in-law Chad Little and Christopher Hill; and grandchildren Kaylie and
Leila Bick, Xander and Sarah Winterfeld, and Larsen and Ivy Little. She was preceded in death by her
parents, Kermit and Ellin Schlameus, and her beloved daughter Kathryn (Bick) Hill.

Lucy embraced life with energy and joy. Her laughter was warm, bright, and unmistakable. Her legacy is
one of faith, love, resilience, and joy. She touched countless lives through her devotion to God, family,
and community.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 4 p.m. on April 25, 2026, at Heritage Park Baptist Church, 2732 FM
528 in Webster, TX. By Lucy's request, the gathering will be a joyful "party" celebrating not only her life,
but her transition to her eternal home with the Lord.
