Ellen Marie Dilks (née Wilson), 72, passed away on October 14, 2025, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Born on July 14, 1953, in Pennsylvania, Ellen lived a life rich with creativity, laughter, and deep devotion to her family and the arts.
Ellen found her true home in the world of theater. A gifted actor and director, she dedicated her life to the stage, captivating audiences and inspiring fellow artists throughout the local theater community. Her passion for performance was matched only by her commitment to nurturing talent and bringing stories to life with authenticity and flair. Whether behind the curtain or under the spotlight, Ellen's presence was magnetic—her work left an indelible mark on those fortunate enough to witness it.
Known for her quick wit and sarcastic sense of humor, Ellen brought levity and laughter wherever she went. Her sharp mind and creative spirit made her a cherished friend and collaborator. She had a remarkable ability to find joy in everyday moments and shared that joy freely with those around her.
Above all else, Ellen treasured her role as a mother and grandmother. She is survived by her son, Jason (Erin) Dilks, and daughter, Megan (Michael) Fazzari. Her love extended deeply to her grandchildren—Matt (Whitney) Dilks, Hannah Fazzari, Justin Choseed—and to her great-granddaughter Madeline Dilks. Her family was the heart of her world, and she took immense pride in their accomplishments and happiness.
Ellen's legacy lives on not only through the many lives she touched on stage but also through the generations of family who carry forward her humor, creativity, and love.
