Ellen Janush

Ellen Janush, 80, of Boynton Beach, FL, passed away Tuesday, January 6th, 2026. She was born in NYC on January 28, 1945. She was the daughter of the late George and late Edith Meyer.

Ellen passed away from double pneumonia. Ellen was predeceased by her husband, Donald. She is survived by her son, Brian, who gave the eulogy.

Ellen was truly one of a kind! She was direct, bold and honest.

Ellen had NO filter! If something was on her mind: the person knew it. She was never fake. She looked like Seinfeld’s Estelle Costanza, and acted like Everybody Loves Raymond’s Marie Barone. There was never a dull moment being around her.

In life she worked as a: secretary, realtor, small business owner, and Vice President of Donel Lingerie. She lived in Stamford, CT from 1980 to 2017.

Ellen’s funeral took place on Sunday, January 11th, 2026 at Temple Sholom in Greenwich, CT. The burial immediately followed at the temple’s cemetery on Memory Lane. Guests were treated to an early dinner at Giovanni’s 2 in Darien, CT.
